I grew up in Fair Oaks and have an in-depth knowledge and connection to the local community. My early work experience was with the Sunrise Recreation & Park District in Citrus Heights as a lifeguard, swim instructor and manager, which taught me the core values of our Community.

I first became interested in SMUD while a student at U.C. Davis researching SMUD's Upper American River Project, which is a network of hydroelectric dams that runs along Hwy 50 through the Sierra Nevada. Out of university, I worked at the California Energy Commission's Renewable Energy Office with a focus on solar and wind power.

Today, I work on the cutting edge of vehicle electrification and grid-integration policy using my renewable energy background.
